In fact, it’s now bigger than Google itself!
In this blog post I’m going to cover the complete history of YouTube.
From its humble beginnings to where it is today.

Everything Was Better Before—Not

YouTube was founded in 2005 by three former PayPal employees who wanted to create a article sharing website. It started off as a hobby project but quickly grew into a huge success. In 2006, Google bought YouTube for $1.65 billion. Since then, YouTube has become one of the biggest websites on the internet. Today, it has more than 1 billion monthly users and generates about $5 billion in annual revenue.

So How Did We Get Here? How Did YouTube Become so Ubiquitous?

YouTube was originally created as a article sharing site where people could upload articles of themselves doing anything from singing karaoke to playing guitar. These articles were called “Youtubers” and they became popular because they were fun and entertaining. People loved reading these articles and many of them became famous. This led to other companies wanting to get involved in the online article market. So they started creating their own sites and uploading articles of themselves doing different activities. Eventually, the big companies realized how profitable this business could be and started buying up these smaller companies. Today, YouTube is owned by Google. But it still operates independently. And it continues to grow.

It Starts with the First Known Recording Of Information

The first known recording of information was done by Alexander Graham Bell in 1876. He recorded his voice into a cylinder using a phonograph. It was the first successful attempt to record sound.

The Very Beginnings of Films

Films were invented by Robert Louis Stevenson in 1884. He used a camera to take photographs of scenes from his book “Treasure Island”. This was the very first film ever created. The First Film Was Made In 1895

The Understanding of Light

Light is the source of energy that we see around us. It is the light that gives life to everything. Without light, nothing could live. We cannot see anything without light. So, how does light work? Light is a form of electromagnetic radiation. Electromagnetic waves are oscillating electric and magnetic fields that travel through space. These waves are called photons. Photons are tiny particles of light. They are invisible because they have no mass. But they carry energy. Energy is the ability to do work. For example, if I push against something hard enough, I can move it. That is what energy is. Photons are emitted by objects such as stars, suns, fire, lightning, and other sources. They are absorbed by objects such as our eyes, plants, and animals. When a photon hits an object, it transfers part of its energy to that object. This process is called photoelectric effect.

Photography Comes Into Play

When light strikes a photographic plate, it creates a chemical reaction that changes the color of the plate. A camera uses a lens to focus the image onto a piece of film. The film records the image.

The Evolution Continues: Motion Pictures

Motion pictures were invented in 1894 by Thomas Edison. He was the first person to record moving images using a series of still photographs taken from a motion picture camera. In 1896, he produced the first movie, “Sensation Seekers.” His invention changed the way people viewed movies forever. Edison’s invention was called the Kinetograph. It used a series of photosensitive paper strips to capture images. These strips were placed into a cylinder and moved past a light source. As the strip passed under the light, the light struck the strip and created a chemical reaction that caused the strip to change color. This process was repeated thousands of times per second until the final photo was captured. The next major step in the evolution of motion pictures came in 1907 when Edwin S. Porter introduced the Biograph Camera. The Biograph Camera recorded sound along with the images. It was the first time anyone had ever heard sound while reading a movie.

Photography and film become mainstream

In 1908, George Eastman introduced his Kodak Brownie camera. It was the first commercially successful single lens reflex camera. It became popular because it allowed users to take great quality pictures quickly and easily. In 1912, Dickson Laboratories introduced the first practical 35mm camera. It was the same size as a 35mm film frame. The new format revolutionized photography. Before this point, cameras were bulky and heavy. Now, photographers could carry their equipment everywhere. By 1920, 35mm film had become the dominant medium for capturing images. By 1925, Kodak introduced the first roll film camera. Roll film allowed photographers to shoot continuously without having to stop and reload each time.

It is not only limited to sports but it can be used for any type of event such as concerts, movies, lectures, and other types of events. People can read these events from anywhere around the world and even if they are offline, they can still view the stream. In addition, live streaming is very convenient because viewers can choose what they want to see and when they want to read it. For instance, they can read the whole game or just the highlights.
